Sound Gardens

Composer / Director JG Everest has been developing spatial soundscores for over two decades, for dance and performance work, creating many site-specific sound + performance installations for a wide variety of locations.  In recent years, he has developed the Sound Garden model, composing spatial scores played on 25+ independent remote speakers, with live choir and poetry accompaniment in outdoor spaces such as Harbor Park in Grand Marais, Northrop Mall at U of MN, The Wolf House Gardens in Mpls, and Lake Nokomis Park.  An innovative approach to mood and ambiance, Sound Garden installations transform spaces and transport audiences with immersive, spatially-driven arrangements firmly grounded in place and energy.
